As many individuals have learned over the course of their lives, being prepared can make a considerable difference when needing to deal with a situation. This notion can also be applied to legal situations in which a driver may be facing charges for alleged OVI. By understanding the allegations, parties may be able to make better decisions for their cases.
A recent accident in Ohio may have a man looking for ways to prepare for his legal situation. It was reported that a 28-year-old woman was reportedly struck by a vehicle while she was walking along the roadway. The incident took place after 2 a.m. The driver of the car allegedly involved did not remain on the scene of the accident.
Authorities later took a 27-year-old man into custody after suspecting him to be the driver involved. It was reported that he was taken to a medical facility before being booked in jail, but it was not clear whether it was due to injuries or to test for possible intoxication. Nonetheless, the man is currently facing charges for OVI, aggravated vehicular assault and another allegation.
As the man's case moves forward, he will likely want to ensure that he is prepared for the legal proceedings relating to his OVI case. In doing so, he may want to gain more knowledge on Ohio criminal proceedings and defense strategies that may prove useful under his circumstances. The man is considered innocent until -- and only if -- he is proved guilty in a court of law.
