Gus is a trial lawyer that is more than willing to take the tough cases to trial, but who also appreciates the importance of negotiation. Prior to joining Haughey & Niehaus LLC as an Associate, Gus served as a law clerk at the firm for many years. Gus also served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Walter Rice of the Southern District of Ohio.
Gus was born in Hamilton, OH, but grew up primarily in Maineville, OH, where he graduated Valedictorian from Kings High School. After high school, Gus graduated from Miami University where he attended on a full academic scholarship. While at Miami, Gus earned numerous awards as a member of the renowned Miami University Mock Trial Team. These awards culminated in Gus achieving the status of "All-American Attorney" from the American Mock Trial Association. Finally, Gus graduated from The Mortiz College of Law at The Ohio State University, where he received the George A. Speigelberg Award for the Nation's Top Oral Advocate from the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Aside from the practice, Gus coaches the Miami University Mock Trial Team. Gus currently lives in Warren County, OH, and is a member of the Holy Trinity-St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Cincinnati, OH.
